The concept of Terroir has a French origin and relates to the expression of the land in a particular wine. In particular, this means:
- A soil of homogeneous characteristics influencing the nutrients the plant will have access to.
- A specific microclimate, affecting every plot in a different manner.
- The impact of human activities on the vines, e.g., type of pruning, way of plowing.
- Specific to us, we could also add the influence of the surrounding forests, with notable influence on the vines.
On these four factors will strongly rely the final outcome, our wine.
